STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Only 50 of the brightest students from all over Houston were selected to participate in University of Houston and Prairie View A&M University programs. At the UH closing ceremony, EP Student was awarded the top leadership award presented by Shell Oil Company for outstanding leadership and awarded a laptop computer.
Willard Wigan of London – known as the 8th wonder of the world for his ability to make microscopic sculptures that fit into the eye of a needle, Wigan visited EP and brought along one of his masterpieces priced over six figures and spoke to students for almost 2 hours about his journey to greatness.
Flex to Be Fit- A yearly major fitness initiative to promote healthy lifestyles and child fitness. A significant portion of proceeds from this event is donated to Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign against childhood obesity.
Houston Urban League- Students were awarded a 1st place and 2nd place recognition for earning the top mathematics scores in STEM classes taught by legendary Prairie View A&M instructor, Dr. Freddy Frasier.
Students were also selected to participate in STEM programs at Texas A&M, Rice University, and Texas Southern University.
Students featured in Top 50 youth chess players in Houston.
Tae-Kwon-do – Numerous students won various medals at the local and regional levels. Three students won 1st place (Gold medal) at National AAU competition (2011) after competing against the best martial arts students from all over the United States and are featured on the AAU website as national champions.
Students won 1st place in National Military Drill competition in Chicago, Illinois, competing against 6 of the best teams throughout the nation. (2011)
Several Students have been selected as Top Teens for the National Organization Top Ladies of Distinction Incorporated
Community Service- Students organized a community garage sale for local fire victims and have participated in various community clean up and food distribution events. Students initiated a project called CroLove- where they crochet hats and scarves for cancer patients.

Destiny Muhammad, Out of 10,000 applicants world wide, Destiny Muhammad was selected to participate in the eight annual Disney Dreamers Academy hosted by Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine class of 2015 where student received an all expense paid for a four day trip to Walt Disney World Resort to receive workshops and mentorship from a host of celebrities.
Ahmad Muhammad was selected as a NASA high school aerospace scholar for the 2014-2015 school year where he will participate collaboratively with students all of the state of Texas in a wide range of interactive engineering learning experiences highlighted by a weeklong internship at NASA.

2014 Malaysia – Student selected as one of the nine students to travel to Malaysia and Singapore for a year long exchange to study science, engineering, and cultural exchange hosted by BP Oil Company
2015 Turrialba, Costa Rica – a delegation of 20 from EP traveled to participate in hands on Spanish immersion for six weeks
2017 Cuernavaca, Mexico – a delegation of over 35 from EP traveled to participate in hands on Spanish immersion and partake in historical activities such as climbing of the great pyramids of Teotihuacan and Tepoztlán and visiting the historic home of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Mother Tynnetta Muhammad
